Time for a cuppa?

Part of the reason for setting up Space to Talk was I was struck by how many people I meet in work & social settings, who just want some space…to talk, to be deeply listened to. To be seen as the unique, complex individual they are. Not for someone to give them the answers, or ask questions that hint at the ‘right’ answer: “Have you thought about doing x or y…?” (because that’s what I think you should be doing).

But just a space to breathe. To be seen and heard.

How many of us were brought up in a culture where the opposite was true? Children should be ‘seen and not heard’?
